Common questions

The sign-in window didn’t finish

Choosing Connect Supabase opens Supabase’s own sign-in page in a secure macOS sign-in window. After you approve Supapad, the window closes by itself and your projects start loading. If you closed it early, or it stayed open after you approved, choose Connect Supabase again. Signing in to supabase.com in Safari first lets the window skip straight to the approval step.

A tile says “unavailable”

Some Supabase endpoints are experimental and can change without notice. When one does, Supapad shows that tile as unavailable instead of guessing, and it retries on its own. Everything else keeps working.

I see “Rate limited — backing off”

Supabase limits how often an account can call its API. Supapad slows down for that project and tells you when it will try again, so you never look at stale data that claims to be fresh. It clears up by itself.

The Database tab asks for permission again

Database access is a separate, opt-in permission, so the base install never has more access than it uses. Approve it once in the browser and the tab stays available.

Can Supapad pause, scale or edit my projects?

No. Supapad is read-only, and write statements in the SQL editor are refused before they leave your Mac.

How do I remove everything Supapad stored?

Sign out in Settings and choose to delete local history. That removes your tokens from the Keychain and the cached data from your Mac. Deleting the app afterwards removes the rest.
